Our Business Project starts in 1955, when Esteban Rivas Martín,
founder of the Group, buys an old, faded second hand bus, which due to its
limited performances, only allowed him to carry out small local transfers.

With a huge effort and coinciding with the economical development of the 60s in
Spain, Esteban Rivas Martín, does not only get his small Business off the ground
but he also, in few years, succeeds in being in the vanguard of the Road travellers
transport sector.

The incorporation of the second generation to the family Business makes Esteban
Rivas expand his Business activities to the vehicles renting services,
both with and without driver, fleet maintenance, parking exploitation,
renting areas, construction and real state businesses, becoming in
the last years Grupo Esteban Rivas.

Throughout its History, Grupo Esteban Rivas has received a great number of
acknowledges and rewards by public and private institutions.

In 1994, Esteban Rivas Vázquez, who was by then the Group General Manager,
was awarded with the prize Aster to the Professional Path by
the Escuela Superior de Gestión Comercial y Marketing (ESIC).
Likewise, in 1996, Esteban Rivas Vázquez was awarded with the
Tecnydir prize to the Professional path, by the Escuela de Organización Industrial Old
Students Association. In 2002, Esteban Rivas Martín, as the founder of the Group, was
awarded with the Professional Path prize by the magazine Actualidad Económica.
In 2003, The Ministry of Work and Social Affairs awarded Esteban Rivas Martín with
the Silver Medal for his excellent work.
In 2009, the Community of Madrid, through its President,
Doña Esperanza Aguirre Gil de Biedma, awarded to the Grupo Esteban Rivas
the Europen Prize for Business Excellence.
